Terms and cancellation policy

These terms apply to every journey we sell and form part of your contract with us. By confirming a booking you accept them, so please read them before you pay.

Who you are contracting with

Journeys are sold by High Country Collective LLC, a Texas limited liability company, trading as Galardon Argentine Tours. Ground arrangements are operated in Argentina.

Prices

Prices are quoted in US dollars per person and assume two travelers sharing a room. Larger parties reduce the per-person price; solo travel is quoted individually. A quoted price is held for the period stated in your written proposal and is confirmed only when payment is received.

Prices include the services listed in your confirmed itinerary. They exclude international flights, travel insurance, gratuities, and anything not expressly listed as included.

Paying for your journey

We do not take payment when you send a request, and nothing is charged while we check availability. Once we have confirmed your dates we send a secure payment link, and the full price is payable at that point. Paying in full is what allows us to hold the hotels, guides and winery access that make the route possible.

A deposit of 35% with the balance due 30 days before departure can be arranged for journeys booked well in advance. This is agreed in writing before you pay anything; it is not the default. Where a deposit has been agreed and the balance is not received by the due date, we may treat the booking as cancelled by you and the charges below will apply.

If you cancel

Cancellation takes effect on the day we receive written notice. Because we commit your money to hotels, guides and wineries well in advance, the following charges apply as a percentage of the total journey price:

Some suppliers, particularly remote lodges and internal flights, are non-refundable from the moment they are booked. Where that applies to your journey we will say so in writing before you pay.

If we change or cancel

Individual hotels, restaurants and wineries may be substituted for comparable alternatives without changing the overall quality or intent of the journey. The order of visits may be adjusted for availability, weather and seasonal flight schedules.

If we cancel a confirmed journey for any reason other than your non-payment or an event beyond our reasonable control, you may choose a full refund of monies paid to us or a transfer to an alternative departure.

Travel insurance

Comprehensive travel insurance is a condition of booking. It should cover cancellation, curtailment, medical expenses, repatriation and your personal belongings. We may ask for evidence of cover before departure.

Passports, visas and health

You are responsible for holding a valid passport and any visas or health documentation required for entry to Argentina. We are happy to point you at the current requirements but cannot be responsible for entry refused at the border.

Hunting, fishing and other trips we do not operate

Some experiences we describe, including hunting and fishing trips, are not sold or operated by us. We introduce you to a specialist agency that books them directly with the outfitter and lodge, and your contract for that trip is with them, not with us. Their own terms, deposits, cancellation rules, licensing and insurance requirements apply, and we recommend you read them before you commit.

We are not the operator of those trips and do not accept liability for them. If you also book a Galardon journey around one of them, the two bookings remain separate: cancelling one does not cancel the other, and the refund rules above apply only to the journey we sell you.

How we are paid

Where we introduce you to a hunting or fishing specialist, we are paid a referral commission by that company if you book. You pay nothing extra for the introduction, and the price you are quoted is the same as if you had approached them directly. We tell you this because you are entitled to know when a recommendation carries a commercial interest.

We may also pay a commission to a travel agency that refers you to us. That commission comes out of our own margin and does not change your price.

Liability

We arrange services with carefully selected independent suppliers. We accept responsibility for arranging those services with reasonable skill and care. We are not liable for events beyond our reasonable control, including weather, strikes, airline schedule changes, civil disruption and natural events.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, and the courts of Texas have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. Nothing here removes a right you hold under the consumer law of the state in which you live.
