Booking terms
Terms and cancellation policy
Draft, pending legal review
These terms have not yet been reviewed by a licensed attorney and are not in force. Do not rely on them, and do not accept deposits against them until they have been checked for your jurisdiction and for seller-of-travel requirements in the states you sell to.
Who you are contracting with
Journeys are sold by High Country Collective LLC, a Texas limited liability company, trading as Galardon Argentine Tours. Ground arrangements are operated in Argentina.
Prices
Prices are quoted in US dollars per person and assume two travelers sharing a room. Larger parties reduce the per-person price; solo travel is quoted individually. A quoted price is held for the period stated in your written proposal and is confirmed only when a deposit is received.
Prices include the services listed in your confirmed itinerary. They exclude international flights, travel insurance, gratuities, and anything not expressly listed as included.
Deposit and balance
A deposit of 35% of the total journey price confirms your booking and allows us to secure hotels, restaurants and winery access on your behalf. The remaining balance is due 75 days before departure.
Bookings made within 75 days of departure are payable in full at the time of confirmation. If a balance is not received by the due date we may treat the booking as cancelled by you, and the cancellation charges below will apply.
If you cancel
Cancellation takes effect on the day we receive written notice. Because we commit your money to hotels, guides and wineries well in advance, the following charges apply as a percentage of the total journey price:
| Notice before departure | Charge |
|---|---|
| 75 days or more | Deposit is forfeited |
| 74 to 45 days | 50% of the total price |
| 44 to 30 days | 75% of the total price |
| 29 days or fewer | 100% of the total price |
Some suppliers, particularly remote lodges and internal flights, are non-refundable from the moment they are booked. Where that applies to your journey we will say so in writing before you pay.
If we change or cancel
Individual hotels, restaurants and wineries may be substituted for comparable alternatives without changing the overall quality or intent of the journey. The order of visits may be adjusted for availability, weather and seasonal flight schedules.
If we cancel a confirmed journey for any reason other than your non-payment or an event beyond our reasonable control, you may choose a full refund of monies paid to us or a transfer to an alternative departure.
Travel insurance
Comprehensive travel insurance is a condition of booking. It should cover cancellation, curtailment, medical expenses, repatriation and your personal belongings. We may ask for evidence of cover before departure.
Passports, visas and health
You are responsible for holding a valid passport and any visas or health documentation required for entry to Argentina. We are happy to point you at the current requirements but cannot be responsible for entry refused at the border.
Liability
We arrange services with carefully selected independent suppliers. We accept responsibility for arranging those services with reasonable skill and care. We are not liable for events beyond our reasonable control, including weather, strikes, airline schedule changes, civil disruption and natural events.
